How we procure

OPB follows established procurement practices that promote fairness, transparency, and value for money. Procurement opportunities are typically posted through recognized electronic tendering systems such as MERX.

As with other Ontario public sector organizations, these processes are designed to ensure vendors have equitable access to opportunities, and that procurement decisions are well-documented and accountable.

How to do business with OPB

Vendors interested in doing business with OPB are encouraged to:

Ensure their organization is registered and able to respond to competitive solicitations
Review all procurement documents carefully and submit bids which are complete and compliant

OPB will evaluate submissions based on predefined criteria, which may include technical capability, experience, pricing, and overall value.

Contract Award Disclosure Report (Open Data)

OPB is committed to accountability, transparency, and value in our procurement practices.

In alignment with the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and Ontario’s Digital and Data Directive, we proactively publish information on our contract awards.

The dataset includes all procurements covered by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and reported in accordance with the applicable CFTA value thresholds.

The report is refreshed quarterly and provided in a machine-readable, open format to allow for easy download and analysis.
